The Orange County Property Appraiser must file three tax returns:

1.) Homestead Exemption: If you own a home, live there permanently, and have resided in Florida since January 1, you may qualify for the exemption. Here are the steps:

  • Visit the Orange County Property Appraiser website (ocpaweb.ocpafl.org).
  • Below the “Click here to make an appointment” button, select the “Exemptions” menu.
  • Then click “Send by Email.”
  • Enter “Application form and instructions” in the hyperlink.
  • Ensure you have the necessary documents listed in this section, such as a deed certificate and driver’s license.
  • You will need a Florida driving license or Florida ID card to prove your residency. If you are not a driver, you will need an ID card.

2.) Tangible Personal Property: Here are the steps to file a tangible personal property tax return:

  • Visit the Orange County Property Appraiser website.
  • Click on “TPP Tax Return”.
  • Click “Save as PDF.”
  • If you click “Save the form as PDF,” you will get all four pages in PDF format.

3.) Income Survey: 

  • Visit the Orlando Property Appraiser website (ocpaweb.ocpafl.org).
  • Click on “Income Survey.”
  • The following instructions will appear when you click on the “Income Survey” option.
  • Enter the DOR usage code from the Orlando Property Income and Expense Request Letter and follow the instructions.
